Holiday lights were out in full display in Altoona on Saturday. Mask-A-Wish Iowa featured their annual Tour De Lights.
The fundraiser was a little different this year due to COVID-19. Instead of people walking, biking or running through the light show, they stayed inside their vehicles and drove through.
Saturday served as a preview of the annual Jolly Holiday Lights event.
“We got so lucky that it is a great social distancing event,” said Lexi Konig, with Make-A-Wish Iowa. “That you can bundle up with your family in the car still. We have transitioned our Wish Shop with Santa to an online store.”
This year’s Jolly Holiday Lights kicks off Friday, Nov. 27, and will continue through Dec. 30. It will be at Adventureland Campground again this year.
